Mmilo Tours is owned and operated by Jenny Tyobeka and Patrick Hanratty each contributing their own particular talents to the success of the company. Jenny has had more than sixteen years in a senior executive position in financial services and has long been involved in funding tours. She has travelled widely abroad and in Africa. Patrick is a qualified and accredited South African tour guide and achieved this status through the auspices of the University in South Africa (UNISA). He began to conduct tours in South Africa in 2001 and accompanies most of the Mmilo Tours on offer and tourists will discover that Patrick, a hiker of note, has a wealth of flora and fauna information to relay and a fund of stories and facts about the diverse South Africa cultures.

Together Jenny and Patrick ensure that tourists and guests to South Africa receive the most interesting tours, four star travel and accommodation and photographic opportunities of a lifetime. Mmilo Tours usually cater for tour parties of between six and twenty people which allows for safe control and the answering of the many questions tourists have about the South African culture. With the beauty of the scenery, the landmark heritage areas and the" big five" animals in the Kruger Game Park as well as the abundance of other wildlife and the all the year round vacation weather Mmilo Tours offer tourists an experience to be treasured and revisited.

All the tour guides at Mmilo Tours are well versed in the imparting of their knowledge of the various peoples of South Africa and have a fund of stories and anecdotes to further the understanding of the country and of South African culture. Touring KwaZulu Natal tourists will be able to see the traditional beehive dwellings and the cattle kraals of the Zulu people and perhaps purchase some of the wonderful beadwork the women make for various occasions and ceremonies. The Zulu people are descended from the warriors of King Shaka whose story has been made internationally famous on film. Tours can be arranged to coincide with dancing displays by both women and men in their traditional clothes and accessories such as shields and spears and head-dresses. Sites of important battles can be visited together with memorials commemorating the history.

Mainly in Natal is living a large community of people whose origins may have been across the Indian Ocean but whose roots have become firmly settled in South African soil. Colorful saris are still worn as well as western clothing. Tourists with Mmilo Tours could sample the wonderful curries and samoosas on offer and wander through the market and the shops owned by either Muslims or Hindus while discovering another facet of South African culture. People of Northern Hemisphere origin and who have lived in South Africa for many generations follow different professions and lifestyles. Some are responsible for the growth of the winelands and vineyards and export their products all over the world. The Sothos, Vendas, Xhosas, the colorful and musical Cape Malays all have their own histories and cultures and languages but as Mmilo Tours will point out all the peoples of South Africa will give a warm and genuine welcome to tourists and guests.

X Star quality of accommodation establishments on this website
Quality Assurance of hotel, lodge, guest house, and other categories of tourist accommodation standards in South Africa are effected and ensured by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa ( TGCSA). Each establishment is assessed at least once a year within its own category. The Star Grading system, with 1 star being the lowest rating accorded and 5 star the highest, operates from the consumer point of view, and incorporates a Consumer Feedback Mechanism.

These standards are measurable and benchmarked. against global standards. As further evidence that the TGCSA's grading processes and procedures comply with global standards, it has signed a memorandum with MATCH, the FIFA accommodation company which acknowledges that only TGCSA officially graded establishments will be used by MATCH when South Africa hosts the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Mmilo Tours subscribes to these standards which guides its choice of suitable accommodation establishments it includes in its itineraries and hosts on its website.
