 Overview

The famed Chobe National Park is one of the last places on earth that reminds us of a time when great herds of wildlife roamed Africa freely. Experience the sheer exhilaration of river borne and land based safaris in this wildlife haven. Combined with Livingstone, Zambia, where you will discover the spectacular Victoria Falls, one of the world’s natural wonders, and guided scenic tours of the iconic sights of Cape Town, this is truly a special southern african  journey that will stimulate your senses and spirit of wonder and adventure.

This tour starts off in Cape Town and includes 3 nights in this Mother City, 2 nights in Livingstone, Victoria Falls and 4 nights in Chobe. Our highly personalised service, extensive range of inclusions, together with airfares, and the very competitive price for the vacation value we offer, means that after arriving in South Africa there is little else you have to spend on.

Itinerary for This Tour

Day 1

Arrive at Johannesburg International (OR Tambo) Airport and connect for your flight to Cape Town from here. When you arrive at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by Mmilo Tours’ representative and transferred to the Cape Milner Hotel in central Cape Town.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure, possibly exploring in and around the V & A Waterfront just a few minutes’ drive away, to which you will be transferred at your request.

Overnight at the Cape Milner Hotel Bed & Breakfast

Day 2

A guided tour around the Cape Peninsula is in store for you today. Your expert tour guide will collect you from your hotel in the morning for this tour which exposes you to the stunning views of sea and mountains, for which the Cape Peninsula is world renowned.
You will drive over Chapmans Peak, one of the world’s most beautiful stretches of coastline, and visit the picturesque fishing harbour of Hout Bay at its foot. Then, on to Cape Point where the warm Mozambique Current and cold Benguela flow together, and where visitors say they can see the meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. On your way back you will visit Boulders Beach with its famous African Penguins and Groot Constantia, the very first place vines were grown at the Cape more than three hundred years ago, set on the wooded slope of the mountains. It is a beautiful, historic and peaceful place to finish the day, tasting the fine wine of this estate that Napoleon Bonaparte and Frederick the Great were particularly partial to.
Overnight as per previous night

Day 3

It would be unthinkable to visit Cape Town without ascending the iconic Table Mountain. So, after breakfast this morning, your tour guide will collect you once again to transfer you to the Cable Station, from where he will catch the ride in the rotating cable car with you to the table-topped mountain summit. The views on ascent and from above, overlooking the city, its harbour and the sweep of sandy beaches to the west, are breathtakingly beautiful. The mountain itself is also a nature reserve and World Heritage Site, and the habitat of the unique Cape floral kingdom, one of only five in the world. Its indigenous vegetation ranges from the famous, colourful proteas to tiny flowering plants, afromontane forests and wetlands, some of it dating back 60 million years. You will also see the ““dassies” (rock Hyraxes) sunning themselves and scampering amongst the boulders. After an early lunch snack or perhaps some refreshments at the cafe on the mountain, you will descend with your guide, who will transfer you back to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, possibly exploring the V&A Waterfront some more, or visiting some of the historical sites, many museums, the Castle or Company Gardens in the centre of the city, for  which transfers can be arranged.

Overnight as per previous night.

Day 4

After a very early breakfast, you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport by your tour guide to catch your flight to Johannesburg International, from where you will connect with your flight to Livingstone, Victoria Falls, Zambia.  Upon arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be met, warmly welcomed and transferred to David Livingstone Safari Lodge. From here you will have safe, daily access to the Victoria Falls, Mosi-Oa-Tunya (the local name for the Falls which translates as the “smoke that thunders”). Stand on the Knife Edge Bridge and gaze at the wondrous Eastern Cateract, Main Falls and Boiling Pot, as you listen to the crashing sound of water into the gorge over 100 metres below, and watch clouds of spray flung skywards.
Overnight at David Livingstone Safari Lodge, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast

Day 5

Catch a steam train ride, that recalls times gone by, to Livingstone, visit the Vic Falls once again, join a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River and watch hippo's and crocodiles soaking up the last rays of the sun as you pass by in your cruiser.
