 Overview

Very cost and time effective this tour gives you a good taste of  the Kruger National Park, South Africa's supreme wildlife destination, the home of the largest concentration of lion per square kilometre on earth  and of course the rest of the Big 5 and other fascinating game. Sandton, the affluent financial hub of  the country, in Johannesburg North, lends its own fascination to your vacation and an experience of  vibrant Soweto and a visit to the former home of Nelson Mandela, to gain an understanding of his life and ideals and how he sacrificed so much in the fight for a democratic South Africa, whilst expecting nothing in return, will touch your own  life. All this in 4 star comfort, including a private guided tour of Soweto and private transfer to Kruger National Park and back.

You can dictate the pace by adding to the activities in your tour, in consultation with us. At the end of it all you will have had immense enjoyment seeing what makes South Africa tick - Johannesburg is after all the economic and financial heartbeat of South Africa!

 

Itinerary for This Tour

Day 1

Arrive at  Johannesburg International Airport.  Your Mmilo Tours' representatuve will be at the airport to meet and greet you and transfer you to your 4 star lodge in Sandton, the affluent suburb of Johannesburg North.  You are at  leisure for the rest of the day. You may decide to explore Sandton Square, where a life sized bronze statute of Nelson Mandela occcupies pride of place, and Sandton City where a wide variety of restaurants cater for every taste, and extensive shopping opportunities beckon from African hand crafts to South African and international designer labels.

Overnight at  4 Star lodge, Sandton, Bed & Breakfast.

Day 2

 

You will be collected at your hotel after an early breakfast at 7.00am. You will board an air conditioned private, luxury vehicle for your transfer to the Kruger National Park, via one of the most scenic routes in South Africa, taking in God’s Window, the Berlin Falls and Graskop Gorge. Prepare for your sunset game drive, in search of the Big 5 in the world famous Kruger National Park.

Overnight at Four Star Lodge in the Kruger National Park,  Dinner  Included

 

Day 3

Rise at the crack of dawn, for your sunrise game drive safari to spot more rhino, lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and numerous other fascinating game, running free as nature would have them. You will be collected at the doorstep of your accommodation by your game ranger for your  Kruger National Park safari, and will be transferred there again at the end of your safari game drive. After a relaxing day, prepare yourself for that last adrenalin rush as you set off for your sunset game drive safari. Nightfall lures marauding predators from the bush. What will your binoculars reveal as you peer along the spotlight beam?

Overnight at the same lodge, as per previous night, Dinner, Lunch, Bed & Breakfast.

Day 4

You will be collected  from your lodge at around 9.30am and transferred back to the affluent suburb of Northern Johannesburg, to the doorstep of your Sandton guest lodge. You will spend the rest of the day at leisure, or if you so wish may decide to do further sight seeing.

Overnight at Four Star Guest Lodge in Sandton, Bed &Breakfast.

Day 5

This is your last day of your holiday in South Africa. You will be collected from your accommodation establishment after breakfast by your Mmilo Tours representative, and transported  in an airconditioned, luxury vehicle on your private tour of Soweto, where you will visit the Nelson Mandela Museum, the Hector Petersen Museum, interact with the locals and enjoy  a typical  Soweto lunch at a restaurant there . After lunch, you will be transported back to the Johannesburg International Airport for your flight back home .

Quality Assurance of hotel, lodge, guest house, and other categories of tourist accommodation standards in South Africa are effected and ensured by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa ( TGCSA). Each establishment is assessed at least once a year within its own category. The Star Grading system, with 1 star being the lowest rating accorded and 5 star the highest, operates from the consumer point of view, and incorporates a Consumer Feedback Mechanism.

The SATSA Bonded logo serves to testify to the fact that the bearer, being a SATSA member in good standing, has a financial guarantee in place to cover monetary deposits lodged with the member in advance of services to be rendered.

Should the member become financially insolvent prior to rendering the contracted service, the bond, which has an indemnity limit of R1.5 million, guarantees that deposits will be refunded, or the service replaced, to a maximum level of R300 000 per event or R75 000 per claim against the insolvent member.

This is an insurance bond underwritten by Lombard Insurance and certain underwriting syndicates at Lloyd's of London and is administered by SATSA, a section 21 company incorporated not for gain.
